Evidence-based research proposals on Education, Water, and Food Security sought by the United States AID (USAID) agency

Grants

Researchers working in US institutions and in East African countries, preferably working collaboratively, are invited to submit research Concept Notes to the USAID proposing innovative research that can be applied in practice focused on:

  • Basic Education (specifically social and emotional skills);
  • Food Security (specifically youth engagement in agriculture); and
  • Water Security (specifically data and forecasting for water resources)

The target areas are three East African countries: Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Basic Education program is limited to Kenya and Uganda only.

LASER PULSE will receive Research Concept Notes between 27 September and 15 November 2019. If you are interested in submitting a Concept Note, go to https://stemedhub.org/groups/laserpulse/funding/rfa-eastafrica.

The objective of this solicitation is to catalyze evidence-based research that can be readily translated into useful policies, products, and practices that better address international development goals, through participatory problem identification that engages researchers and development implementers.

If you are unable to access the website, please send the Concept Note and associated documentation to this email applicationsubmit@laserpulse.org .
