On behalf of Global Studies, professor Jason W. Moore will give a public lecture on Climate Change and Capitalism. The talk will be on November 15th, 6pm at WALC 3138.
Professor Moore is a professor at the Department of Sociology at Binghamton University and Coordinator of the World-Ecology Research Network. He writes extensively on environmental history in Europe, Latin America, and the United States, from the long sixteenth century to the neoliberal era.
He is the author of several books, among them, Capitalism in the Web of Life: Ecology & the Accumulation of Capital, Anthropocene or Capitalocene? and along with Raj Patel, A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things.
