Chris Francis is an artist and shoe designer who has built his practice upon stretching and bending the rules of fashion. Drawing on a range of different disciplines, from his punk roots to Dadaism and Bauhaus, his shoe designs reimagine the genre as sculptural, architectural, and brimming with creativity. Francis’s work encompasses motion machines, found objects, and international influences.
You are invited to a talk with Chris Francis on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 5:30PM in Rueff Galleries (Pao Hall). His exhibition, To-The-Last: 21st Century Shoe Designs, will be on display in Rueff Galleries – East until Nov. 15.
