The Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships will host a virtual workshop entitled “Finding Funding, Limited Submissions, and Proposal Submission”. This is the first of a series of workshops which provide an excellent opportunity for new faculty to learn more about Purdue’s policies and processes related to the development, submission, and management of research proposals. The workshop will be broadcasted live via Zoom and participants will be able to ask questions via “chat”.
The workshop will take place Tuesday, September 1 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. Presenters include: Sue Grimes, Research Development Services; Drew Weintraut, Corporate & Foundation Relations (Development); and Amanda Hamaker, Sponsored Program Services.
Topics to be covered in this session include the following:
- Resources for finding and tracking funding opportunities
- The limited submission process
- Proposal support provided by Pre-Award Services
- Budget preparation and review
- Understanding facilities and administration rate (F&A)
