Professor Mitchell Speaks at National Book Event on Medieval and Early Modern Women in Politics and Power

Silvia Z. Mitchell, Associate Professor in the History Department, will be part of a National Book Event hosted by Penn State University. Her book, Queen, Mother, and Stateswoman: Mariana of Austria and the Government of Spain (Penn State University Press 2019, paperback 2020) has been recently “Highly Commended with Jury’s Congratulations” in the Biennial Royal Studies Journal in Association with the University of Winchester Book Prize Competition.

Join PSU Press for a discussion with the authors of four recent books that explore the many roles of powerful women in the medieval and Early Modern eras! This virtual panel will take place on Friday, September 25th at 7 pm EST.
