Excellence in Discovery and Creative Endeavors (EIDCE) Award Competition Begins

Events Featured Research News

The College of Liberal Arts is currently accepting nominations for the Excellence in Discovery and Creative Endeavors (formerly Discovery Excellence/Excellence in Research) Awards. This program is intended to recognize excellence in discovery and creativity by tenure-track CLA faculty.

There will be two college-wide awards – one for Assistant Professors, and one for Associate and/or Full Professors. The winners of the awards will receive an inscribed plaque and will be honored during the annual Faculty Awards Banquet (date to be announced later). In addition, $1,000 will be transferred to each winner’s account for professional expenses.

Award criteria focus on the quality, impact, breadth, and reach of discovery activities – as indicated by such evidence as research or creative output, national and/or international awards and other recognitions, grants and other research support, leadership in scholarly organizations, citations by fellow scholars, interdisciplinary activity, collaborations with scholars in other institutions and in other colleges at Purdue, and impact on the larger world.

Any CLA faculty member may nominate any other, but self-nominations are not permitted. To nominate a colleague, please complete and submit the nomination form via InfoReady (URL below) by Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 5 PM EST.

The attached document (titled “Update IRUP.pdf”) outlines how to update your InfoReady User Profile for CLA, if you have not previously used InfoReady. This update must be done before new users can make any nominations!
